Mazdas recalled for faulty airbag sensors, dashboard lights
Mazda is recalling almost 35,000 newer Mazda 3 and CX-30 crossovers in Canada over concerns that, in very specific circumstances, the airbag sensors could malfunction and not deploy during a crash. Some 34,650 examples of the two nameplates from model years 2024 and 2025 are affected in Canada, along with 171,412 of them in the U.S. In the U.S., the ratio of affected vehicles is split roughly two-to-one for CX-30s versus Mazda 3s.
