Mayawati pays tribute to Kanshi Ram on death anniversary
- On Friday, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati paid floral tribute to party founder Kanshi Ram on his 20th death anniversary in Lucknow, observed as Parinirvan Diwas.
- Kanshi Ram founded the Bahujan Samaj Party in 1984, dedicating his life to empowering Dalits, tribals, and backward classes by helping them utilize voting power to gain political authority.
- "Through these governments, historic work of social transformation and economic emancipation was undertaken," Mayawati said, citing four terms in Uttar Pradesh under her leadership.
- Following the Election Commission's SIR revision, Mayawati reviewed voter list reorganization at the BSP Central Camp Office, addressing the alleged removal of approximately 9 lakh voters.
- While maintenance continues at the Bahujan Inspiration Centre on the UP-Delhi border, Mayawati directed followers to the Revered Shri Kanshi Ram Ji Memorial Site in Lucknow for tributes this year.
