Maya Jama and Ruben Dias' Cheshire home targeted by burglars

Their multimillion-pound Alderley Edge home was ransacked with jewellery and electronics stolen while they were away, amid a series of similar burglaries targeting Premier League players.

  • On January 28, Cheshire Police reported, `Shortly after 11.10pm on Wednesday 28 January, police received reports of a burglary at an address in Alderley Edge` and found entry had been made with items stolen.
  • Away for work and sport, the couple was targeted while Jama was filming in South Africa and Dias attended Manchester City's match against Galatasaray, in Cheshire's 'Golden Triangle'.
  • Their 6,300 sq ft house features landscaped gardens and a full indoor leisure suite, yet thieves ransacked the property despite a sophisticated zoned alarm system, CCTV, electric gates, and a security detail.
  • A source close to the couple said they are devastated by the burglary, and Manchester City assistant manager Pep Lijnders said, `We try to support him as a club of course. I haven't spoken to him personally,` with Ruben Dias expected back in training on Monday.
  • The burglary is part of a wider pattern of strikes in the area, with Alderley Edge's dozens of Premier League players making clustered high-value homes attractive targets.
