Mass. man grateful to good Samaritans who rescued him from burning car crash
Francis Leverone, 78, suffered multiple injuries and credits passing good Samaritans and a police officer for rescuing him from a fiery crash on Route 138, officials said.

- Leverone said he sneezed while driving and unintentionally pulled his hand down before striking the parked dump truck.
- A 2024 Toyota Camry struck Leverone's 2013 Ford F-350, setting both ablaze, and passersby along with a police officer pulled Leverone out, with him saying 'I see them getting under my arms, and I guess one of the brothers got inside the truck, trying to get my leg untangled, so I could stretch it, then they pulled me straight out'.
- At a rehab facility in Braintree, Leverone is recovering from a dislocated right hip and a broken wrist after the crash two weeks ago, and he is grateful to his rescuers, saying 'God bless them, even my wife wants to God bless them, I survived'.
