Protests Swell In Tehran As Internet Is Restricted Across Iran
Videos shared with RFE/RL's Radio Farda on January 8 show mass protests taking place across the Iranian capital. Meanwhile, observers were reporting Internet outages across the country, blocking citizens from sharing information about the ongoing unrest.
Protests continue in Iran today, after crowds took to the streets of several cities, including Tehran and Mashhad, for more than a week in what are believed to be the largest protests in years, with Iranian authorities blocking internet connections across the country, foreign news agencies reported.
