After Friday's "warm-up," the Port of Rotterdam appears poised to become the scene of even more extensive blockades on Saturday. Protesters from Geef Tegengas (Give Backwards) have announced they will shut down all road, rail, and shipping traffic.
On Saturday, the action group Geef Tegengas (Give Counter-Gas) protested again in the Port of Rotterdam. This time, the protest took place on the railway line, among other places. Police and riot police intervened forcefully, removing approximately 300 demonstrators from the railway line at Vondelingenweg. According to the organization, there were 800 demonstrators. One police officer was injured.
