Samford Director of Athletics Martin Newton has been named chair of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee for the 2026-27 season. Newton will serve as vice chair for the coming season, supporting Keith Gill, the Sun Belt Conference commissioner and 2025-26 chair.
