Three people were sentenced, on Monday 21 July, by the correctional court of Châlons-en-Champagne, in the eastern part of France, to prison for operating and housing in unworthy conditions some fifty workers, often undocumented, during harvests 2023 in the prestigious Champagne vineyard.
These subcontractors of large champagne houses had operated some 50 undocumented workers who were housed in unworthy conditions.

They were convicted of housing in deplorable conditions and exploited dozens of people, including undocumented people, during the harvest in 2023.
