Marlins option Graham Pauley to Triple-A Jacksonville, recall Heriberto Hernández
Pauley is batting .173 with 19 strikeouts, and Miami has lost eight of its past 11 games.
On Thursday, the Miami Marlins optioned infielder Graham Pauley to Triple-A Jacksonville and recalled outfielder Heriberto Hernandez amid several roster moves.
Pauley has struggled offensively in 2026, batting.173 with 19 strikeouts and remaining hitless in his past 17 at-bats.
After beginning the season 13-13, Miami has lost 8 of its past 11 games, including four straight, sliding from second in the NL East.
Infielder Leo Jimenez will receive more opportunities, Marlins manager Clayton McCullough said, after being acquired from Toronto in March.
Recalled to the majors, Hernandez returns after being optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on April 27, where he batted.159 with no homers in 63 at-bats.
