The new rules for environmental licensing, approved by the House of Deputies and the Senate, were once again criticised by the Minister for Environment and Climate Change Marina Silva. For the Minister, the project's possible sanctions will represent a “demoliation” of Brazilian environmental legislation. “We are going to make structural changes [in Bill No 2.159, which creates the General Act of Environmental Licence].
