Marie Fire in Spanish Springs now 75% contained, cause under investigation

Marie Fire 60% Contained

(Spanish Springs, NV) — The Marie Fire in Spanish Springs has burned 115 acres of land and is now 60 percent contained. The Bureau of Land Management says all forward progress has been stopped. The fire started on Tuesday, prompting evacuations. Ground crews are now securing control lines and mopping up remaining hot spots. There are no reports of injuries or of structures lost.
