MARGARITAVILLE AT SEA ACQUIRES THIRD VESSEL IN THREE YEARS TO FURTHER EXPAND FLEET
- Margaritaville at Sea acquired the Costa Fortuna, its third ship in three years, announced on May 14, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.
- Following its launch in 2022, the company expanded its cruise offerings by introducing the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise and later adding the Islander vessel to its fleet.
- The Costa Fortuna, constructed in 2003 and operated by Costa Cruises until late 2026, stands as the largest ship within the Margaritaville at Sea lineup, weighing more than 102,500 gross tons and accommodating around 3,450 passengers.
- Christopher Ivy, CEO of Margaritaville at Sea, highlighted that adding the Costa Fortuna—the company’s biggest vessel so far—will allow them to enhance guest experiences with more enjoyment and escape, launching from a new homeport in 2026.
- The company plans to redesign the ship with its signature island-inspired style and will offer new longer itineraries to destinations like Aruba and New Orleans starting January 2026.
