She married the love of her life, Virgil Ray Woliung, on February 2, 1974, and he preceded her on December 12, 2020. Peggie worked as a security guard at Argosy Casino and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Milan. She enjoyed crafting, painting, going to yard sales, and thrift shopping. She and her husband also worked to build their house together, which was very special and memorable for her. Peggie also loved going camping and spending time with her family.

Margaret “Peggie” (White) Woliung, 73, of Milan passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, at her home with her loving family by her side. Peggie was born on Wednesday, March 18, 1953, in Columbus, Indiana; daughter of Elvin “Bud” White and Louise (Anderson) White. Peggie will be missed by her daughters Tara Defler (Skip Todd) of Louisville and Ashley (Joshua) Hooten of Versailles; brothers James (Missy) White of Ohio, Dennis White, Charlie Peters, Don Spurgeon, Ron Spurgeon, Dave Spurgeon; sisters Becky (Eric) Hand of Milan, Mary MacIntire of Columbus, Indiana, Norma Plumber of Columbus, Indiana; grandchildren Danielle Waters, Hailee Woliung, Lauren Waters, Hayden Hooten, and Aaron Waters; great-grandchildren Ryker Kole Ray Ferry, Emma Waters, and Isaiah Kihnley Peggie was preceded in death by her parents Bud and Louise White; husband Virgil Woliung; sons Jason Ray Woliung and Adam Woliung; siblings Jim Spurgeon, Earl Spurgeon, Joe Spurgeon, Harry Spurgeon, and Mary Ann Wood. Family and friends may gather in remembering Peggie from 12:00-2:00 PM, Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Services will follow at 2:00 PM with Minister Scott Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Milan. Memorials may be given in honor of Peggie to Interim Health Hospice.
