The 29-year-old Swiss pilot struck a competitor during the trials on the Isle of Man and succumbed to his injuries.

As announced by the Swiss Moto Federation, the driver who died yesterday in training for the Manx Grand Prix is Mauro Poncini. The Ticinoer was only 29 years old.
