STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — On a rainy Thursday before Thanksgiving, hundreds of borough students in a range of ages from over 30 schools worked in shifts at what is normally considered Staten Island’s largest food distribution hub. This particular day in the parking lot of Project Hospitality’s Stapleton’s outreach center, a party-like atmosphere played out with an annual tradition — sorting and packing donations from across the borough.
