Manhunt after rape of two teenage girls in Great Yarmouth, say police
Police arrested one man and are searching for a second suspect as specialist officers support the two teenage victims, officials said.
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, Norfolk Police responded to reports that two teenage girls were raped at South Beach Parade in Great Yarmouth, with officers establishing a cordon at the scene.
A man in his 30s was arrested in Northamptonshire on Sunday, May 17, 2026, on suspicion of rape and taken to King's Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.
Authorities are actively searching for a second suspect described as a white man in his 30s or 40s wearing blue jeans and a dark green jacket with white stripes.
Chief Inspector Nick Paling stated specialist officers have been deployed to support both victims, and police increased patrols in Great Yarmouth with officers conducting reassurance visits.
