On Wednesday, October 7, the Senate approved a new reform of the General Tourism Law, and what is it? This requires tourism service providers to apply preventive protocols to detect possible crimes against the integrity of children and adolescents, including cases of sexual exploitation and abuse. In addition, when providing a service, they must verify the legal relationship or the age of majority of the adults accompanying them.

The Senate unanimously approved a reform to strengthen the protection of children and adolescents from sexual exploitation in tourist establishments and services, with new obligations to prevent possible crimes before they occur.
