Star Wars' 'Mandalorian & Grogu' Sneak Peek Coming to 3 Colorado Movie Theaters
Each event will feature more than 25 minutes of new footage, special giveaways and a new poster, Lucasfilm said.
- Lucasfilm will celebrate May the 4th by hosting special fan events for The Mandalorian and Grogu in select Imax theaters, featuring more than 25 minutes of new footage and exclusive posters.
- Directed by Jon Favreau, the film brings the Mandalorian saga to the big screen for the first time, opening in North America May 22, 2026, during the long Memorial Day weekend.
- New footage revealed on April 22 shows Garazeb Orrelios in a chase scene, where the Rebel hero is "firing blasters, crawling around, and generally being the cool, grumpy Rebel action hero."
- Favreau directed the film from a script co-written with Dave Filoni, a George Lucas protege who was elevated to oversee Lucasfilm's creative direction earlier this year following Kathleen Kennedy's departure.
