Man who drowned in Red River near Moorhead identified

Moorhead police identified the man as 27-year-old Luis Ramos of Fargo and said there were no suspicious circumstances or signs of foul play in his drowning.

MOORHEAD, MINN. – Authorities say an individual reported missing Sunday has been recovered in the Red River. Recovery teams located and removed an adult male from the water in the area of the 100 block of River Oaks Point at approximately 5:30 p.m. Monday. Police say the individual has been positively identified as the person involved in the incident. Police say the identification will be made public 24 hours after next-of-kin notification.
