A man accused of murdering his estranged wife in Howard County has surrendered to police. Alexander Stephenson, 53, allegedly stabbed 47-year-old Amethyst Stephenson to death Sunday morning in a home on Huntsmans Run in Ellicott City. He fled the scene before police arrived but later turned himself in at the northern district station in Ellicott City.
