Water Rescue on Chippewa River

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) - The Eau Claire Fire Department rescued a 40-year-old man from the Chippewa River on the morning of June 10th. Officials say they found him struggling to stay afloat between the Lake and Water Street bridges. A firefighter wearing a water rescue suit swam to the man and kept them afloat until a fire department boat helped. The man was taken to the Mayo Clinic Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
