Man Dead in North Vancouver RCMP Shooting After He Allegedly Got Into Police Vehicle

- After moving to a gas station in the plaza, the suspect attempted to enter an unoccupied police vehicle. During the confrontation, police deployed a conducted energy weapon and fired shots.
- Transported to a local hospital, the suspect later died, according to RCMP. No officers sustained physical injuries during the incident, which is now under IIO review.
- The IIO continues its investigation, seeking witnesses and video footage to support its review. The surrounding area at Westview Drive remains cordoned off pending completion of the investigation.
