Man struck, killed on tracks in Chester
A 55-year-old man was struck and killed late Friday on the SEPTA/Amtrak tracks in Chester. The dispatch occurred shortly after 11:15 p.m. as units were sent to the Chester Transportation Center, 1 Pennsylvania Ave. First responders asked for SEPTA and Amtrak to stop train traffic, which took about 10 minutes. “This is an obvious (inaudible), and we’ll turn it over to police,” was the radio comment.
