Man sexually assaulted three women on busy trains across London
- On 30 May at Inner London Crown Court, 30-year-old Ahmad Ahmedzai admitted three counts of sexual assault related to incidents on London trains and received a custodial sentence lasting 27 weeks.
- Last year, Ahmedzai committed sexual assaults on three occasions, each time preying on women traveling alone on crowded trains throughout London.
- Ahmedzai committed sexual assaults against a 28-year-old woman on 10 September while traveling between Bushey and London Euston, another 28-year-old on 2 November aboard a Jubilee Line train, and a 22-year-old on 25 November during a crowded journey originating at Watford Junction and heading toward London Euston.
- Following reports to British Transport Police, officers used CCTV and facial recognition to identify Ahmedzai, who was given a seven-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and must pay £687 in costs.
- Ahmedzai has been required to register as a sex offender for a decade and faces restrictions on the Transport for London network, demonstrating a firm stance against sexual crimes on public transport.
