Adria Arjona to Star in Man of Tomorrow
The actress joins a Superman sequel ensemble that includes David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult and Lars Eidinger as Brainiac.
- Following auditions last week, actress Adria Arjona landed the role of Maxima in the upcoming Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow from DC Studios, completing director James Gunn's ensemble cast.
- Earlier in April, Arjona defeated finalists Eva De Dominici , Sydney Chandler and Grace Van Patten during screen tests held in Atlanta.
- Created by writer Roger Stern and artist George Pérez, Maxima is the warrior queen from planet Almerac, first introduced in Action Comics #645 in 1990, who seeks a suitable mate and sets her sights on Superman.
- Director James Gunn directs and wrote the script, with David Corenswet returning as Superman and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, joined by Rachel Brosnahan, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, Isabela Merced, Nathon Fillion, Edi Gathegi and Aaron Pierre.
- Man of Tomorrow is scheduled for release on July 9, 2027, as the sequel to Superman, which grossed $618.7 million globally during its theatrical run last year.
