MECKLENBURG COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was shot and killed along Interstate 85 in Mecklenburg County on Thursday afternoon. At 3:47 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, Virginia State Police troopers were notified of a shooting along I-85 northbound at mile marker 5 in Mecklenburg. MECKLENBURG COUNTY, Va. A man was killed in a shooting along Interstate 85 in Mecklenberg County, Crime Insider sources tell Jon Burkett. Police were called to the northbound lanes near mile marker 5, not far from the North Carolina state line, for a car crash Thursday afternoon.
