South Croydon crash leaves man, 41, in hospital with serious head injury after car hit pedestrian

Police want to speak to anyone who saw what happened

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Croydon which left a pedestrian with a serious head injury.

Police were called just after 9pm on Monday, 5th of January to a collision on Brighton Road near the junction of St Augustines Avenue. A 41-year-old man was treated and taken to hospital. The driver, who stopped at the scene, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been bailed.
