Man in 70s conned out of £200,000 by fake police officer

A Watford man in his 70s has been scammed out of £200,000 after being conned by a fraudster posing as a Metropolitan Police officer.

A 95-year-old resident of Son en Breugel was scammed by fake police officers in her home. They stole jewelry and paintings from her, among other things. The fake police officers managed to enter the victim's home on Diepenbrocklaan twice. This happened between Friday evening, April 25, eight o'clock and Saturday morning, April 26, ten o'clock.
