A single-vehicle crash on East First Street Wednesday afternoon sent a Hopkinsville man to a Nashville hospital for treatment of severe injuries. According to the Hopkinsville police report, 65-year-old Jeffrey McCord of Hopkinsville was operating an electric bicycle westbound on East First when the bike experienced some type of mechanical issue. Man Flown To Hospital After E-Bike Crash

A man was flown to a Nashville hospital after a crash on an e-bike on East 1st Street in Hopkinsville on Wednesday afternoon. Hopkinsville Police say the man lost control of his bike after crossing over the railroad tracks and fell off, hitting his head. The man suffered severe head injuries and was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to a waiting helicopter that flew him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
