Man Flees After Tear Gas Spray Used at Osaka Tenjin Festival, Causing Eye Pain in Several People (Kyodo News)

At around 10 p.m. on the 25th, a man sprayed what appeared to be tear gas at a man in his 20s at a park in Miyakojima Ward, Osaka City, and then left the scene. According to the Osaka Prefectural Police, about five people, including the man, complained of eye pain, and one teenage girl was taken to the hospital. Her life is not in danger. The scene was during the Tenjin Festival fireworks.
