- On Saturday, Phoenix Police responded just before 3 p.m. to a shooting at a Lowe's parking lot near 19th Avenue and Baseline Road in south Phoenix.
- After two vehicles pulled into the lot, a white SUV and a sedan, a disagreement between their occupants escalated into a physical fight, Brian Bower, Phoenix Police spokesman, said.
- The suspect allegedly fired multiple rounds into the white SUV while three children were in the backseat, and witnesses including Ali Varnado described about 15 shots ringing out.
- The shooting left a man dead and three others injured, including one child in critical condition, with a third hospitalized as a precaution, police said Saturday.
- The suspect was hospitalized for unrelated health issues and is now in custody, while Phoenix Police are asking the public to provide information as investigators continue their work.
