'I Really Fear for My Life': Neighbors Worry After Dogs Maul Man to Death in Illinois
Police said at least five stray dogs killed a man and injured a woman hours earlier, and officials are working to capture the pack.

- Washington Park Police received a report two hours earlier that a woman had been bitten by the same pack and requested assistance from Clair County Animal Services for both 911 calls.
- Resident Mike Tomlin witnessed the attack, saying "I realized he was getting mauled by some dogs," as Responding officers shot several aggressive animals before the pack fled into a wooded area.
- Clair County Animal Services officials told First Alert they did not learn of the incident until Friday afternoon, while Police work with the county to capture the stray dogs and urge residents to report sightings.
- The unidentified victim died of bite wounds to his face, torso, arms, and legs, leaving neighbors on edge as Investigators continue to probe the fatal attack.
