Man due in court charged with attempted murder after car hit pedestrians

- On Sunday, the Metropolitan Police charged Somalia-born Timir Ahmed Mohamed, 34, of Grange Park, Ealing, with five counts of attempted murder after a vehicle struck pedestrians on Ealing Broadway on Saturday.
- The incident occurred on Saturday at approximately 2:30pm on the busy west London road, injuring five people during the collision.
- Three people were taken to hospital while two received treatment at the scene; a London Ambulance Service spokesperson said they dispatched multiple resources including an Air Ambulance.
- Mohamed has been remanded in custody and faces additional charges including dangerous driving, failing to stop, and failing to provide a breath specimen for analysis.
- Counter Terrorism Policing conducted initial inquiries but confirmed the incident is not being treated as terrorism, and Mohamed is due to appear at Willesden Magistrates on Monday.
