Man charged in Fatal Fall Creek area crash waives right to preliminary hearing

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) - 38-year-old James Jones, the man charged in a fatal crash near Fall Creek in July of 2025, has waived his right to a preliminary hearing. According to court documents, Jones was a part of a crash on Highway 12 just east of Fall Creek on July 19th, 2025. A car, driven by Jones, hit a truck while turning at an intersection.
