An arrest has been made in a homicide investigation that began with a fatal car fire in Cabin Creek on June 14, 2026. Scotland County Sheriff's Office in Laurinburg, North Carolina, said in a news release Wednesday that Harold Ishameul Patterson, no age given, of Laurinburg, was arrested June 16, 2026, in Laurinburg and charged with first-degree murder.
