- On Wednesday, Aug. 13, a Henry County grand jury indicted Jamison Albert Fisher, 50, for three counts of first-degree murder and one of concealment of a homicidal death.
- Nearly 30 years after Trudy Appleby disappeared on Aug. 21, 1996 near her Moline, Illinois home, a suspect has been charged with her murder.
- Darren Gault, Moline Police Chief, said witnesses saw her get into a gray vehicle with an unidentified man, and phone records show she went swimming despite her father’s refusal.
- Gault reflected, `28 years, 11 months, and 23 days. That's how long the family of Trudy Appleby has waited for a resolution to her disappearance. That's 10,584 days,` Gault said at a news conference Thursday.
- This year, Appleby’s family will hold a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21 at the Moline Police Department.
