Ashland Man Charged for Allegedly Hitting Person with Car
BOONE COUNTY, MISSOURI, JUL 21 – Steven Brunstrom faces five felony charges including first-degree assault after allegedly using his vehicle to strike a victim and causing serious injuries, police said.
- On July 21, 2025, Columbia Police Department said, Steven Kyle Brunstrom, 28, of Ashland, was arrested after allegedly hitting a victim with his car.
- Out on bond for kidnapping and other charges, Brunstrom allegedly punched his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend and threatened to kill them, court documents state.
- According to court documents, he drove with the victim on the hood until he crashed into a house, pinning the victim's ankle between the vehicle, the house and a gas meter at the 1700 block of Parker Street.
- According to court documents, the man suffered facial swelling, large cuts on his knees and lower legs and a broken ankle that left him unable to move or feel his toes.
- He was charged with multiple felony counts including first-degree assault, armed criminal action, third-degree domestic assault, property damage and resisting arrest and is held at the Boone County Jail.
