A Chinese national is accused of posing as a U.S. Marshal to try to scam a St. Lawrence County woman out of $98,000.

The St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office in New York State worked with multiple law enforcement agencies to arrest 29-year-old Chinese citizen Liqing Chi from Flushing, Queens, in Canton Town on Wednesday (May 21), accusing him of impersonating a U.S. Marshals and defrauding a New York woman of approximately $98,000.

Two men and a woman were arrested on Thursday (May 22) for their suspected involvement in a government official impersonation scam.
