Mamdani’s fundraising surges past Cuomo, Adams in New York mayoral race

- More than 8,000 supporters contributed to Mamdani's campaign in roughly five weeks, with 1,100 donors between July 12 and August 18 giving $532,000 outside and $490,000 inside New York City, averaging $121.
- To move more funds, Cuomo must secure donor consent and paperwork, and he is hoping to qualify for about $525,000 in matching funds as the board meets next week.
- Super PAC filings show heavy outside spending, including Elizabeth Simons' $250,000 to New Yorkers for Lower Costs super PAC and Alice Walton's $100,000 to Fix the City PAC amid more than $22 million spent.
