Mali: the Electricity Sector Supported by Popular Mobilization - Africa Education

The electricity sector in Mali is being strongly mobilized by the transitional authorities. In order to address one aspect of the energy deficit situation in Mali, the head of government, Abdoulaye Maiga, promised on 16 May to reduce the duration of the cuts, allowing a daily supply of electricity by 19 hours compared to 6 hours before. This would give Malians the opportunity to go about their occupation.
