In Mali, the inhabitants of Dianke, located between Léré and Niafunké in the Timbuktu region, had to leave their village under the threat of the Islamic and Muslim Support Group (Jnim), linked to al-Qaeda. The jihadists ordered the inhabitants to leave on Tuesday evening, 19 February. The Malian army then went to the village of Dianke, largely deserted by its inhabitants.
