As the likelihood of disease-carrying mosquitoes entering the country from overseas increases due to climate change, quarantine authorities are utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) for mosquito surveillance. Under the existing manual system, it took 7 to 11 days from mosquito collection to species identification, which limited immediate control measures; however, AI has drastically reduced the identification time.
