Man, 30, Dies Following Assault in Belfast
Police say a verbal altercation inside the bar preceded the assault, and officers are appealing for witnesses and footage as inquiries continue.
Carl Holland, 30, died following an assault outside a licensed premises on Suffolk Road in West Belfast on Friday, June 12.
Detectives believe a verbal disagreement occurred inside the bar between Holland and the suspect, who arrived by taxi, punched the victim, and fled in the same vehicle.
A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm was released on bail, while a 46-year-old man and 44-year-old woman also remain on bail as the Major Investigation continues.
Detective Inspector Collins reiterated appeals for witnesses, stating, "We can confirm that Carl Holland has sadly passed away," and sought CCTV, mobile phone, or dashcam footage.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland urges anyone with information to contact officers on 101 or provide anonymous tips to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
