OTTAWA, Ontario, July 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Canadian Red Cross is working closely with the City of Ottawa and community partners to support residents impacted by the flooding due to an extreme weather event on July 1, 2026.
The Canadian Red Cross is launching a relief fund to support residents affected by the major floods that occurred in Ottawa on July 1st. The donations will be used to fund recovery efforts, build community resilience and better prepare them for future extreme weather events. In collaboration with the City of Ottawa, the organization is already working on the ground, including cleaning kits, personalized support and coaching for insurers.
