Maine will see a mess of snow, sleet and ice going into the weekend

Messy weather is forecast for Friday and the weekend, with freezing drizzle Friday morning and a winter storm Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service. Freezing drizzle is possible early Friday morning but should turn to rain across the state by evening. A winter storm on Saturday night into Sunday will bring a mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain in southern parts of the state with snow possible in the north.
