New Wellness Attraction at Marina South to Open by 2030 with Thermal Pools and 'Cutting-Edge Health Technology'
The S$1 billion development will be Asia's first large-scale social wellbeing project, expected to attract around 2 million visitors annually, half of whom will be international.
- On Nov. 3, 2025, Therme Group won the Concept and Price Revenue Tender from the Singapore Tourism Board to develop a S$1 billion wellbeing oasis on a 4-hectare waterfront site at Marina South.
- STB says the attraction will support Singapore’s tourism receipts target of $47 billion to $50 billion by 2040, and Jean Ng, Assistant Chief Executive, Experience Development Group, Singapore Tourism Board, said it aims to draw wellness travellers and provide local residents with best-in-class experiences.
- Developed with DP Architects and Therme ARC, the facility will integrate thermal pools, botanical landscapes, and proprietary high-efficiency water recycling and sustainable energy solutions.
- It is projected to welcome around 2 million visitors annually, with about half expected to be international, marking Therme Group’s first foray into Asia.
- The development will embrace its connection to the sea by integrating water, nature, and architecture to advance population health and activate surrounding public spaces, attracting regional visitors to Marina Bay.
