BATU PAHAT, Sept 22 – A weak earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale was recorded in the waters off Batu Pahat, Johor, at 4:55 PM on Tuesday. The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) confirmed that the epicenter of the offshore quake was located at coordinates 1.7 degrees North and 102.7 degrees East, at a focal depth of 10 kilometers.
