Maejean Vintage Takes a Double First-Place Win After 16 Years of Saving Heirlooms in Lancaster
The sister-owned jewelry business also earned podium finishes in three other categories as readers recognized its preservation work and appraisal expertise.
Maejean Vintage secured two First Place honors in Lancaster Online's 2026 Readers' Choice Awards, winning Best Estate Jewelry Store and Best Independent Jewelry Appraiser.
Sisters Laura Mae and Amanda Jean founded the company 16 years ago as an Etsy shop launched from their parents' basement, focusing on intercepting vintage jewelry destined for the melting pot.
Staff at the 147 N. Duke Street showroom include GIA Graduate Gemologists who restore vintage, antique, and estate pieces while providing professional appraisals for clients.
Community recognition validates the sisters' long-term effort to rescue heirlooms. "Our mission has always been to save beautiful pieces," said Amanda Jean, co-owner.
Beyond the top honors, the company earned podium finishes for Best Fine Jewelry Store, Best Engagement & Wedding Rings, and Best Antique Shop, reflecting expanding influence in Lancaster.
