Pedersen makes it 2 wins out of 3 at Giro to take back pink jersey from Roglic
- Mads Pedersen secured victory in the race's third day with a bunch sprint finish in Vlore, Albania, regaining the leader's pink jersey from Primoz Roglic.
- Pedersen began the day one second behind Roglic, who had taken the jersey after winning Saturday's time trial, but the race had a hilly 160km leg that shaped the outcome.
- Riding for Lidl-Trek, Pedersen edged New Zealand's Corbin Strong by half a wheel and earned a 10-second time bonus that extended his lead over Roglic to nine seconds.
- Pedersen described the day as 'exactly what we wanted' and noted it was a planned effort to control the climb and regain the pink jersey with two stage wins so far.
- Following three stages in Albania, the race will shift to Italy on Tuesday, restarting with a largely level 189-kilometer stretch from Alberobello to Lecce, likely favoring sprinters in the upcoming finishes.
