Rep. Nancy Mace (R-01) proposed legislation Jan. 9 outside Myrtle Beach City Hall that would penalize state businesses for knowingly hiring undocumented immigrants. The measure, titled the South Carolina Employer Immigration Compliance Act, was written by Mace as legislation she said she would sign into law if elected governor.
